Printed in black on cream stock.
This shows a regatta in the rain, with the crowd cheering. The Citizens & College Regatta took place on Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester, Mass, Friday, July 27th, 1866. The engraving was done by Mr. F. H. Schell.
The spectators have parked their horses and carriages along the causeway which at the time divided the lake.
Lots of detail in this print – umbrellas, rain, – even the hint of a rainbow.
