Black Forest Town & Country Treeless Western Saddle, oak brown, round skirt, size 3, western rigging, with pad, fenders, and stirrups.

This particular saddle is a larger seat size.   I *think* it is a size 3, which is equivalent to an 18″ western (or even a bit bigger).  I am selling this because it is too large for me and my horse (14.2hh Haflinger).   I am 5’6′ and ride in a 16″ western saddle. This would be great for a taller/larger rider, on a bigger horse – such as a draft or draft cross.  Good combo for the husband horse.

The hangers for the fenders have 3 settings – so you can adjust where the stirrups hang.

This saddle is in excellent used condition.  I have upstyled it a bit by putting nicer conchos on it, with black strings, to go with the black trim.  I think the whole setup has been ridden in less than 10 times.

All you need to ride with this is… cinch, billet, and off billet.  And a horse.  And a helmet. Always good to wear a helmet.

3.  Black Forest Black color Black Diamond Suspension Plus saddle pad. This is the pad that is designed to go with this saddle,  even for riders over 180lbs. It has grippy/non-slip material on the front of the pad, and wooly fleece on the rear part, so it moves with the horse but does not slip.  The outside is a really nice black quilted material. Inside, there are pockets with a pad on each side. You can add thicker shims, too. This pad costs $250 new and has only been used a handful of times. Fits this saddle really nicely.
4. This saddle comes with both the pommel with the horn AND the pommel without the horn.  So you can switch it from a western look to an endurance style. The second pommel is normally a $50 accessory.

Note: Black Forest’s website still refers to the brand name “Grandeur” on the pads, but the pads they are selling are labeled “Black Diamond”.  They have the Black Diamond pads made fpr them specifically – everything else about them is the same. Nice quality pad. The pad in this listing is a Black Diamond pad.

This saddle and accessories would cost $1319. new. So this is a good deal!!!!
